Oti Region To Have More Security Personnel -IGP
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr James Oppong-Boanuh has assured the Chiefs and people of the Oti Region of increase in Police strength in the region.
He said this when he paid visits to the Chief of Dambai and Nifahene of Choke Traditional Area, Nana Kwaku Beyennor II and to the Oti Regional Minister, Hon. Kwasi Owusu Yeboah, as part of engagement with major stakeholders in the region.
However, whiles both Nananom and the Hon. Regional Minister commended police in the region for their work and conduct, they also requested for beefing up of security personnel.
The Regional Minister, Hon. Kwasi Owusu Yeboah also appealed to the IGP to set up special operations units for rapid response and marine in the region, to which the IGP Mr James Oppong-Boanuh responded positively.
