Police place GhC20,000 on head of Mfantseman MP’s killers
The Ghana Police Service has begun investigations into the Mankessim-Abeadze Abakrom-Robbery which led to the murder of Hon. Ekow Quansah and has placed GHC20,000 on the head of the MP's killers.
Upon investigations, the Inspector General of Police Mr James Oppong-Boanuh has sent Investigators from the CID Headquarters to support the Central region’s Crime Scene team to solve the robbery incident and murder of Member of Parliament for Mfantseman, Hon. Ekow Quansah Hayford.
The Member of Parliament for the Mfantseman Constituency, Ekow Quansah Hayford was shot on the Abeadze Dominase – Abeadze Duadzi – Mankessim Road on his return from a campaign trip.
He was attacked by six armed assailants who stopped his car in a robbery stint and according to eye witnesses, while the robbery was ongoing, the MP had identified himself as the robbers said they had been looking for him [the MP] for quite sometime saying, he was responsible for making their lives miserable in the country.
They shot him twice, which led to his untimely demise.
